Fire & Rescue 2010, 29-30 June

Published:  20 May, 2010

Fire & Rescue, the UK’s official exhibition and conference for the fire and rescue industry, will take place at the Harrogate International Centre from 29 – 30 June 2010. Hosted in partnership with the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA), the Fire Protection Association (FPA) and the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), Fire & Rescue 2010 will provide industry professionals with a focused opportunity to see and test the latest products and services and learn about recent industry developments free-of-charge.

Following the resounding success of Fire & Rescue 2009 when thousands of industry professionals descended on the NEC Birmingham, the 2010 event will once again deliver a targeted exhibition, an unparalleled education programme, innovative features and fantastic networking opportunities for operational and non operational fire and rescue professionals.

Alongside the extensive exhibition containing a host of industry renowned names, the comprehensive educational programme will update visitors with the very latest information on strategies being implemented throughout the industry. Co-ordinated in association with CFOA’s Strategic Directors, the complimentary seminars will take place in a purpose built seminar theatre on the exhibition floor and will cover a variety of topics including operational and human resources issues, currently being addressed by CFOA.

New for 2010, the Best Practice Area will deliver a range of free seminars based on successful operational and fire safety initiatives currently employed by the UK fire and rescue services. Leading services including North Yorkshire, Humberside, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Hampshire, Cumbria, Bedfordshire, Shropshire, Hertfordshire, Merseyside and Lancashire, will be contributing to the programme which highlights initiatives in road safety, inter service European exchange programmes, CFOA National Resilience and wildfire management techniques.

The UK’s leading fire and rescue suppliers will be demonstrating their latest products and offering guidance within the FIRESA Pavilion - a purpose built display area incorporating a dedicated seminar theatre.

Gerry Dunphy, Sales Director for Fire & Rescue, said: “2009 was a formidable event and the feedback we received from fire service professionals has helped us to develop this event even further. Through our close relationships with the sector’s leading associations, we know what content we need to deliver to our visitors to ensure they are fully up-to-date. We are in no doubt that Fire & Rescue 2010 will achieve this. This event is unique. It has the official backing of the Chief Fire Officers’ Association and with their support and guidance fully reflects the current issues and interests of working UK fire and rescue professionals.’’
