Bronto Skylift to present new technologies at Interschutz

Published:  04 May, 2010

Bronto Skylift, a leading manufacturer of truck mounted aerial platforms, will be exhibiting a whole host of interesting equipment at its stand B & C 120 at the Interschutz trade fair in Leipzig on 7- 12 June 2010

  • An aerial ladder platform with a 32 metre rescue height, TLK23-12 with a completely new design.
  • The F 42 RLX, the 50th Bronto rescue & fire fighting unit delivered to Austria. The unit has a maximum rescue height of 42 metres and an outreach of 19 metres at a height of 30 metres with 400 kg cage load – but is still compact in its travel position, standing at only 3.6 metres. The unit is in operation at the Mödling fire brigade.
  • The F 44 RPX with Bronto-FoamPro foam mixing system. The system is a fully automatic, microprocessor controlled direct flow based proportioning system and offers an unrestricted water and foam flow with extreme accuracy.

Technology Innovations

In addition to new aerial applications Bronto Skylift aims to develop the features of the applications to enhance safety, efficiency and easy serviceability.
The new concept Bronto Care offers total life cycle management for the machines, with total product support available through Bronto extranet. Online support (TeleCare) allows diagnosis and adjustment of operational parameters through the GSM network.
All Bronto Skylift units have a Bronto+ electronic control system. Bronto+ is a user-friendly control system allowing the operator to determine (without lifting the ladder set) whether a particular aerial object can be reached. The system displays all operational parameters such as the chosen maximum rescue cage load, the outreach and height, the boom angle, the wind speed, and additionally it gives full trouble shooting information. The Bronto+ has been upgraded with several innovations which will be presented at Interschutz.
