Frequent contributor to our fire magazines Kevan Whitehead is joining the International College of Management and Engineering (ICEM) in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, as Head of Marketing and Business Development.

The college provides industrial and commercial training to the regions Civil Defence, Oil and Gas Industries and is also somewhat unique in its ability to deliver British Higher Education via its affiliation with the UK institution, the University of Central Lancashire.

Kevan, was formerly the Senior Technical Officer in Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, and more recently provided marketing support and consultancy to numerous Fire Service PPE, Equipment and Software supply organisations within Europe as well as organising several major international conferences on fire and rescue related subjects. He brings a vast amount of knowledge, experience, drive and enthusiasm to the College.

Kevan adds: “I am looking forward to joining an innovative and entrepreneurial team at the college. We have an ambitious vision for the future with significant development and expansion plans both within the Middle East and further away.”
