Speaker biography: Bill Jackson, Head of Estates, National Library of Scotland

ill Jackson MRICS is Head of Estates at the National Library of Scotland. He is secretary of the National Fire Protection Association Cultural Resources Committee producing Fire Safety Codes for Cultural Properties; and UK representative for the International Association of Museum Facility Administrators.
He has over 30 years experience in dealing with heritage and collection buildings.
He has managed a number of major projects for the National Library including the construction and fit out of Phase 2 of the Library’s Causewayside Building circa £30M and the fire safety and refurbishment of the Library’s George IV Bridge building circa £15M.
