Exprotection in expansion

The biannual show now is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors from all risk management sectors you can imagine, meaning that there should be something for everyone.

ANACT – the National Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions – will present two conferences as part of the Risk Management Forum: Acting to prevent psychosocial risks, and Conducting an occupational risk assessment: the analysis of risk exposure conditions approach.


An Innovation Zone at the heart of the exhibition area will highlight all the latest new products and services of exhibitors in the risk management market. On the opening day the Innovation Awards will be handed out, and recognition given out in: safety/security, fire prevention, health and safety at work, industrial and technological risks, natural risks, workwear, internet user prize.


New to the show this year is also the so-called “Ergonomics Village”, an area totally dedicated to ergonomics, and with about 30 manufacturers and distributors exhibiting.

GoldFire (stand P108)
Fire protection engineering company and consultancy GoldFire will be exhibiting at Expoprotection.


The Belgium company GoldFire specialises in consulting and producing fire engineering solutions in a variety of sectors, including high risk industry, construction, computer and data storage, national defence, aviation, space, and the automotive industry.
GoldFire specialises in innovative, non-conventional solutions and in 2006 it received a gold medal at the World Exhibition of Innovation.
It has been involved in the development of some interesting products, including an extinguishing fire blanket that was developed from technology used in the Soyouz rocket thermal shield.


Today, the company specialises in using new technology for the fire protection/extinguishing solutions for specific projects.


CNPP (stand P135),
CNPP’s mission is to develop and assess safety and security knowledge and know-how, as regards people, property, intangible assets and environment, for all activities and in all fields.


Recently CNPP has been involved in the Level C foam project initiated by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), which has put together a workstream to develop a new specification of level C foam. Tests drawn together by Transport Canada and the UK Civil Aviation Authority took place in September in testing laboratory CNPP’s facilities in Saint Marcel, France (see page 34).


CNPP’s skills are applied particularly to the fields of risk management; fire, environ-mental risk, health and safety in the workplace. It also carries out audit and consultancy for risk evaluation and processing: organisation of security and assistance overseeing the works, technical assistance in implementing security tech-nology, survey of regulation.
