International Opportunity- United Arab Emirates
Published: 17 March, 2008
The Ministry of the Interior is responsible for the Civil Defence Organisation in the United Arab Emirates. This is the name used for the Fire, Rescue and Ambulance services. The Ministry is seeking to restructure the service along the UK model of fire and rescue, beginning with an Integrated Risk Management Plan.
In order to drive this process there is a need to recruit a strategic advisor and a small team of Tutors who will be members of a larger emergency service project team in the Ministry.
The ministry is seeking applications from experienced middle and senior fire and rescue managers for the post of Strategic Advisor. Tutors should be experienced fire and rescue trainers. Knowledge of current Fire and Rescue “Trauma Technician” training and practice would be an advantage.
Applications are invited from staff with UK experience in the following areas:
Health and Safety
Station Management and Operations
Community Safety
Fire Investigation
USAR
Marine Operations
Industrial Training
Training and Development
Leglislative Fire Safety
