Surrey FRS adopts new fleece-lined coats for winter

Published:  17 November, 2015

Survival and protective equipment specialist BCB International has supplied Surrey Fire and Rescue Service with fleece-lined coats for general operations during winter time.

The 160 year old Cardiff-based company recently developed new types of garments including ballistic protective undergarments for the military, called Blast Boxers.

BCB’s UK Sales Manager, John Rix, said: ‘As temperatures begin to drop, we have seen a surge in the number of enquiries we are receiving about the fleece operational coats we supply. Our mission here at BCB is to develop and supply protective and survival equipment to our front-line services at home and abroad.

'Firefighters are out there every day preventing and fighting fires in our communities. We are proud to do our bit to help our brave fire services by supplying Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and others with equipment and PPE that will help to keep them safe and enable them to get on with their vital job.’
