Falck Fire Academy supports you

Published:  10 July, 2015

SPONSORED PROFILE: The Falck Fire Academy is a vital part of the overall ‘safety circle’ of professional safety organisations with international high-risk operations and governmental services.

The safety circle consists of proactive safety (policy), prevention, preparation, suppression (fighting the incident) and aftercare. The Falck Fire Academy is a partner that ensures that professional emergency response organisations become and remain skilled (mainly preparation). This leads to emergency response organizations that can intervene effectively during incidents and prevent further escalation.

Some of the services the Falck Fire Academy provides are:

  • Training and consultancy for industrial and public fire brigades
  • International training standards and accreditation
  • LNG safety and awareness training
  • Worldwide emergency response.

Falck Fire Academy will support your company in a number of ways

At Falck we believe that our unparalleled emergency response services experience provide us with a unique platform to assist our clients with world-class knowledge and benchmark expertise.

Emergency response services and training is our core business and we ensure our clients receive a century’s worth of expertise to help them and their operations. The Falck Group supports its clients with consultation in areas such as equipment and procurement, IT solutions, training of staff in the emergency response organisations (ERO) and in call centres, etc., both in terms of advice and technical/practical help.

We have previously set up large ERO/fire brigade operations in countries that were new to Falck both within the public and private sectors. In these cases we often deployed English-speaking employees from all over the world to assist in developing new activities within the agreed time-schedule. We make extensive use of local partners and expertise because we firmly believe that services must always be anchored locally – which means Falck is always able to deliver its services in the local language on request. We take great pride in educating our local workforce so that we can achieve true nationalisation of the manpower used at every level.

Falck Risc – general services

Falck Risc offers consultancy, education and safety training in prevention, intervention and crisis management for the industrial and public sectors. Falck Risc differentiates itself in the market by having modern training facilities and first-rate expertise among its instructors and advisors. It offers customers tailor-made training programmes in which wishes and risks specific to their company are included.

Knowledge centre

Falck Risc can be considered as the knowledge centre of the Falck group in the assessment and development of emergency response organisations (ERO).

Assessments / consultancy

To develop best practice in an ERO it is of utmost importance to use credible scenarios as a starting point. Based upon these we further develop the ERO with suitable educational training programs.

Standardized JOIFF-accredited training according to NFPA standards

We have created standardised training programs for the international market based on four levels. A normal industrial fire brigade or ERO is divided in four different levels.

We have created international industry specific standards for all these levels with the following outcome:

  • Education to become qualified
  • Training and the creation of a training manual (shown below), to remain qualified.
