Published:  08 June, 2015

INTERSCHUTZ LAUNCH:The Solberg Company, a producer of  firefighting foam concentrates and systems hardware, announced at Interschutz 2015 in Hannover, Germany the company has achieved EN and IMO Certification on the company’s Re-Healing RF3x3% FP ATC and RF3x6% FP ATC foam concentrates.

Industries around the world are changing faster than ever before.  Advances in technology, new manufacturing processes, environmental issues, stricter regulations, and improved safety standards pose greater demand for smarter, more innovative approaches in fire suppression.  Leaping ahead of increasingly stringent environmental regulations, Re-healing  foam concentrate is a high-performance fluorosurfactant, fluoropolymer-free foam concentrate for use on Class B fuel fires.

‘We're elated to have reached this level of product development and fire performance with our Re-Healing foam product line,’ said Fredric Pettersson, Sales Director, EMEA Region of Solberg.  ‘Solberg is committed to environmental responsibility, compliance with regulations affecting foam agents, and leadership in foam chemistry.’

RE-HEALING foam concentrates have been designed for flame knockdown, fire control, extinguishment, and burn-back resistance.  Control, extinguishing time, and burn-back resistance is paramount to the safety of firefighters everywhere.  Re-healing foam concentrates have shown excellent performance in each of these categories.

RE-HEALING foam can also be used to prevent re-ignition of a liquid spill and control hazardous vapours. Solberg Re-Healing foam concentrates are designed to replace traditional AFFF and AR-AFFF foam concentrates and older fluoroprotein foams. Concentrates are available in 1%, 3%, 6%, 3x3% ATC™ and 3x6% ATC formulations.
