A multipurpose fire fighting jacket

Rosenbauer’s Fire Max 3 fire fighting suit – now available with integrated rescue system.

The Fire Max 3 protective suit has already enjoyed two years of market presence with numerous leading fire services opting for this innovative product.

New features

With immediate effect, the Fire Max 3 protective jacket is now also available in an ‘IRS’ version (Integrated Rescue System), which means a rescue harness can be integrated into the jacket, enabling firefighters to secure themselves quickly and easily, and in an extreme situation escape by abseiling.

An inner channel enables an optional rescue system to be inserted, consisting of an 85 mm-wide aramid belt with EN 1498 (Rescue loops) Class A and EN 358 (Devices for work positioning and restraint) certification, and a triple lock, HMS aluminum carabiner (EN 362).

Standard features of the Fire Max 3

The Fire Max 3 complies with EN 469:2005 + A1:2006 (including Annex B) and EN 1149-5:2008. In addition, it is certified for protection against liquid iron splash (EN ISO 11612).

As well as weighing only 3.1kg, the jacket features a waterproof PTE membrane and a thermal safety lining that offers a high level of protection in extreme situations.

The number of high visibility stripes means that the jacket (without the trousers) complies with Annex B of EN 469 so that in many countries the wearing of an additional high vis vest is no longer required.

The protective suits are available in three colour versions, with Nomex Tough in either dark blue or gold; or as an alternative PBI matrix in gold-yellow.
