Company profile: XVR Simulation Software, training software for safety and security

Published:  26 August, 2014

XVR is virtual reality training software for the training, education and assessment of incident response professionals – fire and rescue, police ambulance and civil defence. XVR is used by schools and training centres, emergency services, industrial companies and critical infrastructure owners in 23 countries worldwide.

The XVR software platform consists of three modules:

  • XVR On Scene –  for tactical and operational training in 3D-scenarios

In XVR On Scene , instructors can custom build scenarios in a 3D-environment and add local information and objects, as well as interactive elements. This makes XVR into a highly flexible platform for training and educating on an operational, tactical and strategical level.

XVR Resource Management is a simulator application specially developed for practicing the logistic aspects of contingency plans across the entire emergency services chain.
The essence of exercising with the XVR Resource Management simulator is to see how course participants, in a given scenario, together set-up the command structure and deal with the efficient deployment of scarce resources.

  • XVR Crisis Media – for training (social) media management during (virtual) incidents

The XVR Crisis Media module is an online platform that simulates not only the different media in a realistic way but also the reactions of citizens during incidents and teaches participants how to deal with the media and reactions from the public.
