Singapore-based Alert Disaster Control purchases emergency management software solution

Published:  15 April, 2013

The iResponse Emergency Management software is used in over 20 countries for consequence modelling for thermal, dispersion and overpressure scenarios.

Alert Disaster Control (ALERT), a global leader in the provision of emergency response and integrated risk management solutions services and CPD Limited (CPD), a leading software solutions provider to the oil, gas, petrochemical and power industries, announce the acquisition of the iResponse Emergency Management software by ALERT.

The iResponse Emergency Management software was developed by software solution provider CPD Limited, who specialise in oil, gas, petrochemical and power industry software solutions. The software, which is currently used in more than twenty countries, is a credible tool within the aforementioned industries for consequence modeling for thermal, dispersion and overpressure scenarios, emergency management training, as well as being a vital tool for First Responders involved in emergency situations.

ALERT maintains contractual ‘call-out’ service agreements with hundreds of the world’s leading aviation, construction, civil defense, marine, mining, municipal, petroleum exploration and production, power/energy and transportation companies operating worldwide. This is in addition to national authorities / government and military organizations.

Mike Allcorn, ALERT’s Managing Director said: “ALERT were extremely impressed with the dynamic and intuitive nature of iResponse Emergency Management software and saw the value of purchasing the system with a view to complementing the comprehensive range of products, services and knowledge that we already offer. We want to empower our customers with the ability to carry out and manage their own consequence modelling, as well as supplying them with a training aid and a series of decision support tools to assist in emergency situations. We feel this software has been built with the end user in mind, as it offers a remarkably easy-to-use interface, featuring Google Earth, combined with a blend of complex math and science, necessary for robust modelling, which sits unobtrusively behind the scenes. Coupled with our oil well, marine and industrial fire fighting and hazardous material control services and strategically positioned regional response centres, each stocked with comprehensive inventories of specialized air-transportable emergency response equipment, large volume water/foam delivery systems and StormALERT RF ATC high-performance non-fluorinated firefighting foam concentrates, we believe we offer a complete emergency management service to our customers.”
