Lighting systems for rugged terrains

Published:  21 February, 2013

Introduction to rechargeable remote-area lighting systems from Peli.

The new remote-area lighting systems are rechargeable and are designed as an alternative to generator-powered lights.

Both the new models (9460RS and 9470RS) come with two key-chain remote control units that work up to 18m away.

A clever intelligent control system calculates and displays current battery life to enable the user to regulate the intensity of the light and choose the system’s run time.

An integrated multi-terrain trolley includes robust polyurethane wheels and a pull handle for easier transport across gravel, dirt and rough surfaces.

Also included is a 12 volt power supply port.

9460RS RALS at a glance

Built with versatility in mind, the 9460RS RALS features two swivelling telescope masts (each extending to nearly 1.83 m/6 ft) and two 360 degree articulated light arrays.

The system’s LEDs combine to radiate up to 6,000 lumens.

Powered by a rechargeable battery, the system offers up to 7 hours of peak brightness with a variety of extended run times.

Self contained in a tough-as-nails case, the 9460RS is compact and provides easy ground transport.

And the 9470RS RALS

Designed for large-area illumination the 9470RS RALS features 24 LEDs (6 per head) mounted on four 1.83 m (6 ft), telescoping light towers.

The heads - which feature variable brightness settings - are powered by a 12-volt, sealed, rechargeable battery, and in combination provide a maximum output of 12,000 lumens for up to 7 hours.
