Published:  20 December, 2012

Tyco Fire Protection Products will be launching new products and showcasing its range of fire detection and protection solutions.

Visitors will be able to see comprehensive selection of products from key ranges for fire detection, mechanical, water and foam-based systems, and commercial suppression applications in action.

As well as showcasing its complete portfolio of fire detection technology, the company will be launching its latest development targeted at new Tyco distributors, the FireClass system.

This new range provides installers and fire system integrators with advanced fire detection products designed with ease of installation and simplicity in mind.

In addition, the 850 Engineering Management Tool (EMT), part of its Thorn Security Generation6 fire detection range, will also be showcased. The 850 EMT provides greater efficiencies, cost savings and safety in the specification and installation of fire detection systems for large industrial complexes that need to meet EN54 requirements.

To complete the range, the Simplex fire detection control system, suitable for large networkable commercial and industrial applications meeting UL & FM approval, will also be presented.

In the arena of water based fire protection, Tyco will be presenting its new DV-5 deluge valve. Featuring a remote reset function, the valve can be operated and deactivated from one or more remote locations, resulting in safer and more efficient maintenance. The valve is manufactured in Spain, UL-listed and VdS approved, and features a compact, space-saving design.

The Sapphire commercial suppression system will also be demonstrated on-stand. Custom-engineered to use Novec 1230, Sapphire is the fire suppression system of choice for many critical hazard applications. Delivering the extinguishant within ten seconds, the system minimises damage and downtime, while offering superior protection. The latest development in constant flow technology - i-Flow will also be highlighted, together with Tyco’s inert gaseous range.

Tyco Fire Protection Products’ wide range of foam fire suppression brands will be featured at Intersec. Visitors will be able to see products from established brands such as Skum, Sabofoam, Chemguard and Williams Hazard & Control for a broad variety of industry sectors ranging from petrochemical and oil & gas installations to marine and aviation.
