Crash Recovery System now also available for Android
Published: 10 September, 2012
At the end of 2011, Moditech Rescue Solutions, specialised in development and implementation of mobile information systems for emergency responders, introduced the Crash Recovery System (iCRS) for devices running on the iOS operating system. After an intensive period of development, the CRS is now available for devices operating on the Android platform.
Like every operating system, the Android operating system has its own particular advantages. The advantage of the Android operating system of Google is that it allows users to utilise all other services from Google like Google Maps and Google Search from the desktop. Like iCRS, AndroidCRS takes full advantage of the shape and functionality of the Android tablets. Rotating the device will also rotate the information displayed on the screen. In addition, it is also possible to zoom into the high-resolution vehicle graphics if necessary.
The release of the CRS for Android is part of the multiplatform vision of Moditech Rescue Solutions. CRS is now available on every modern mobile operating system. This will allow all rescuers and fire departments to choose the hardware platform that best suits their needs and choices.
