International fire strategist joins Kingfell

Dr Ahmed Allam has joined Kingfell as a principal fire engineer.

As well as many years as a practicing fire specialist, Ahmed has strong commitment to research and development with a keen interest in technology.

He is an industry innovator in the use of computer modelling to predict structure responses to fire conditions and produces intelligent and innovative integrated solutions. With experience extending into Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Ahmed has been involved in problem solving and coordinating design and construction requirements to meet operational strategies.

Key project experience include: Beetham Hilton Tower - Manchester (£55m); Barclays Bank - Canary Wharf; Freedom Tower - New York; The Shard - London Bridge; Crossrail Interchange - London (£16bn); Qatar Education City, Doha; Alraha Beach Development - Abu Dhabi ($12bn); the new Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport ($6bn).

His passion for fire safety engineering covers all aspects including risk-based solutions, structural fire analysis, emergency evacuation analysis, computer modelling, CFD and smoke control, innovative performance-based solutions, codes and compliance.
