The Solberg Company, a global supplier of firefighting foam concentrates and equipment, and Alert Disaster Control (Alert), an international emergency response and integrated risk management solutions service company, announced yesterday the companies have entered into a strategic partnership covering the supply and use of firefighting foam concentrates.
Under the agreement, Solberg will supply Alert Disaster Control with Storm Alert foam concentrates, which are described as being environmentally sustainable. Storm Alert concentrates are 100% fluorosurfactant and fluoropolymer-free - an innovation in Class B firefighting foam.
‘We appreciate the confidence Alert has shown with the performance of Solberg RF series foam concentrates,’ said Dennis Kennedy, general manager of Solberg. ‘As Alert continually expands its global emergency response and risk management solutions services, Solberg is committed to supporting them with leading firefighting foam technologies and performance products wherever they are needed.’
Alert Disaster Control emergency response team personnel encompass centuries of combined experience involving hundreds of oil/gas well firefighting and blowout control, critical well integrity, pressure control/snubbing, well control, relief well engineering and project management, marine and industrial firefighting, hazardous material control and toxic environment protection operations, worldwide.
Alert emergency response teams’ operations have included the first application of Solberg RF series foam concentrates and resulting successful extinguishment of actual fires involving industrial and process facilities, petroleum exploration assets, storage terminals and marine vessels.
‘Our industry is faced with unprecedented challenges in its quest for natural resources through extreme conditions, circumstances and economics,’ said Mike Allcorn, managing director of Alert Disaster Control. ‘In recognition of these demands, Alert has continually placed particular importance on assisting our customers through the provision of proactive integrated risk management solutions. This commitment has included the identification, development and use of environmentally sustainable technology and products.’
Mike continued: ‘From the outset of our operations some three decades ago, Alert has strived to continually be the most sought after emergency response and integrated risk management solutions service partner, worldwide. In our quest to maintain this position, we have considered several strategic opportunities that would enable us to continually expand and differentiate our business. Solberg shares that progressive-thinking philosophy, so that the partnership between Alert and Solberg represents the right step forward for both our organizations and our new and existing customer base.’
