Siemens seminar on automated fixed fire extinguishing systems - UK

Published:  18 October, 2011

As part of its ongoing focus on sharing best practice and expertise, the Siemens Building Technologies division is holding a seminar on 24 November focussing on automated fixed fire extinguishing systems.

Building on the success of previous seminars conducted over the last three years, this latest instalment will be held at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. It will give those new to the sector, as well those looking to improve their knowledge, the opportunity to learn more about fire protection for IT, data centres and other mechanical equipment.

The free-of-charge all-day event is open to any consultants or facilities management professionals. It will focus on protection objectives, detection and fixed extinguishing, as well as wider issues including installation options and business continuity.

The knowledge and expertise gained by attendees at the training day counts towards their Continued Personal Development (CPD), as a recognised commitment to being professional, keeping up to date and improving their skills.

Martin Watson, Business Unit Head for UK Fire Safety within the Siemens Building Technologies division, comments: “Our training days have proven to be very popular with those working in the fire safety industry. They provide a way of keeping up-to-date with the latest cutting edge technology and developments. While our attendees often come from different sectors, they all understand the challenges of operating an effective and efficient fire safety system, particularly now with increasingly tight budgets and new industry-wide legislation.

“It is therefore, more essential than ever before that companies protect themselves financially as well as legally, by making sure they are fully up-to-date with the latest standards and that they are protected against false alarms.”

Booked on a first come basis, interested attendees are encouraged to find out more and book their places by calling 01276 690657 or emailing firesales.sbt.gb@siemens.com.

Siemens Building Technologies runs a full programme of fire safety seminars for vertical sectors, upcoming dates include:
