A leading manufacturer of fire and safety training tools has delivered next-generation redesigned smoke generators to competition winners.
For the introduction of the redeveloped Etna smoke generator, Haagen launched a competition where participants could win a next-generation Etna smoke generator. In total five Etnas were up for grabs across Europe, each worth €1,590.
The prize winners were: 1) Umeå Brandförsvar (firedefens), Sweden, Alexander Lindström, 2) Fire Brigade Lokeren, Belgium, Luc Van De Vyver, 3) Berufsfeuerwehr Görlitz, Germany, Ulrich Piering, 4) SDIS 78, France, Stéphane Morizot, 5) West Midland Fire and Rescue, Marc Hudson.
On the 27th of June the Etna smoke generator was given to Mr. Marc Hudson, Emergency Response Technical and Operational Support Directorate of the West Midlands Fire Service: “On behalf of West Midlands Fire Service and Coventry Central Young Firefighters, I would like to personally thank Haagen for donating to us a Haagen smoke generator. I believe the smoke generator will benefit not only operational personnel in realistic firefighting training scenarios, but also the fire cadets that we regularly train in fire safety”.
On behalf of Haagen the smoke generator was handed by Mike Grice, “We have a good relationship with the West Midlands Fire Service and it is always nice to surprise your customers with such a nice prize. I am convinced that they will have many years of effective training with our Etna smoke generator”.
