30 passive fire protection installers installers in LPCB Red Book
Published: 08 June, 2011
The scheme gives main contractors assurance that LPCB Red Book-listed passive fire protection installers use the correct passive fire protection product for the application, have traceability of the products manufacture and carry out installation according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
The LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) third party approval scheme for Passive Fire Protection Installers (LPS 1531) now has over 30 companies listed in the LPCB Red Book.
This then gives confidence that the completed fire protection will deliver the required performance while the Regulatory Authorities specifiers, building owners and occupiers can be assured that the installation completely meets the design criteria.
All LPCB Red Book-listed companies approved under the LPS 1153 scheme are assessed for their office systems and procedures, site management and product selection verification.
Specifiers should look for the LPCB mark, or go to the Red Book for the list of companies approved to LPS 1531, on-line at www.redbooklive.com
