The UK’s largest fire safety event returns next week
Published: 10 May, 2011
International Firex 2011 takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 16-19 May.
According to the organizing company UBM Live, this year’s exhibition has more exhibitors, seminar theatres and feature areas than ever before.
150 exhibitors (including Hemming Information Services, the publisher of Fire & Rescue and Industrial Fire Journal) will be showcasing their top products and services to fire safety professionals. Typical visitors include fire safety installers, manufacturers, architects, engineers and end-users.
A key area of the show will be the Fike Village – an American-diner themed area where visitors can see the latest in suppression and alarm technologies.
Visitors can also benefit from a plethora of free fire safety seminars at the four seminar theatres – improving their fire safety knowledge at the FPA Info Zone, LPCB Red Book Pavilion, ASFP Passive Fire Protection Zone, and the info4fire.com Learning Zone.
With topical issues like fire risk assessments, third-party approval and new technology in the form of presentations and case studies, it looks like there’s something for everyone at International Firex.
Gerry Dunphy, International Firex sales directors, commented “International Firex 2011 is the UK’s largest fire safety event and, this year, the biggest in its history. All visitors are sure to leave safe in the knowledge that they’ve received the most up-to-date fire safety information thanks to our wide range of exhibitors and the amount of free educational seminars that we have on the show floor – this year, there will be more than 40 hours of sessions over the course of the event.”
All seminars by info4fire.com – a UK online fire safety resource – are CPD accredited, so visitors can claim13 CPD hours.
Trophy’s will also be presented on a daily basis to the winners of a ten-pin bowling challenge organized by info4fire.com (stand J51).
