New electric valves for fire apparatus

Elkhart Brass, based in Elkhart (Indiana, US) has introduced a new type of electric valves for fire apparatus.

The Unibody actuators, the E3F and E4F, represent the first major extension to the Elkhart Brass Unibody valve range, since its introduction two years ago. By taking the electronics out of the controller and embedding the micro processors in the valve actuators, it is now possible to use any control system, from everyday discrete switches to PLCs to the Elkhart UBEC controller line. Either of the actuators will interface to any existing Elkhart UBEC or ICS controller in a retro-fit capacity.
