A new range of Mariners Wheelapproved marine suits has just been launched by Bristol Uniforms.
The new FS5 coat and FS6 trouser incorporate new fabric combinations with a Protex cotton outer in amber yellow developed specifically for the company. The FS7 coat and FS8 trouser combination is manufactured to BS EN469 and features a yellow Nomex outershell with a thermal barrier quilted to flame retardant cotton, also Mariners Wheel approved.
According to Bristol Uniforms’ export sales manager, Paul Gibson, the new marine suits benefit from advances in lighter weight construction first developed for its Ergotech range of firefighters PPE, which provide high wearer comfort with full protection. Size options have also been expanded and both suits are available from small to XXL, a choice of 28 different sizes.
Bristol Uniforms’ managed PPE service for UK firefighers has also recently been improved to offer round-the-clock remote access to a new secure database. Authorised personnel will now be able to view up-to-the-minute individual PPE history by garment or firefighter.
Bristol Care contracts manager Edward Shepherd believes that the managed care concept, will, over time, become a model for other countries in Europe and other continents.
The company has recently expanded its service to include the washing, and repair of helmets, flash-hoods, boots and gloves. Its decontamination service has been widened to include equipment such as fire hoses and breathing apparatus.
