Get your own bodyguard

The latest in electronic monitoring for SCBA has been unveiled by Draeger – the Bodyguard 7000.
The Bodyguard unit is lightweight (only 300gms) and has been designed to feel even lighter by incorporating the pressure sensor and power supply modules in the BA’s backplate.
The gauge’s LCD screen provides continuously updated data including: time-to-whistle (calculated on current air consumption); digital pressure reading in bar; and simulated analogue gauge.
A clever feature of the Bodyguard is that it can automatically identify the user or the brigade, by uploading the user’s personal ID wirelessly, using a personalised pre-programmed ID card. Parameter settings and datalogging can also be done wirelessly with the PSS 7000 PC link or a PC with a USB connection.
The Bodyguard is designed for use with the PSS 7000 SCBA, as well as the new FPS 7000 HUD and HPS 6200 helmet. Power supply is via an AA battery pack, supplying 365 hours of normal use.
