Rescue sled - your inflatable friend for mass evac

Published:  01 September, 2008

When MFC Survival was asked to design a craft to be towed behind a Jet ski to recover survivors from a plane forced to land at sea within 1,000 metres from the end of the runway, using a rescue crew of only four persons, the team came up with a solution, the RS15 Rescue Sled, which can be towed singly or in tandem behind a jet ski.

Multiple applications have now been discovered. The RS10 Rescue Sled, says MFC Survival, is proving a very popular size for urban water rescue following flooding, and the RS5 has been extensively used for swiftwater rescue. The RS15 has the capability of being paddled by two/four persons (or towed by two persons walking in the water) and is ideal for use on inland waterways and as a means of moving people in flooded urban areas.
