Tornatech has announced the opening of Tornatech Pte Ltd in Singapore, marking the first time a North American fire pump controller manufacturer has established to a facility in Asia, says the company. Utilising Tornatech’s latest microprocessor technology used in the UL/FM listed fire pump controllers, Tornatech Pte Ltd will build the 100% NFPA20 compliant, non-listed GFx Series electric fire pump controller and model GFD diesel engine-driven fire pump controller in Singapore. It will also serve as Tornatech’s sales and service support center for the UL/FM fire pump market in Asia.
Tornatech Pte Ltd was created from the acquisition of the fire pump controller division of Combined Automation and Electrical Pte Ltd which has had an excellent
reputation for building and servicing fire pump controllers
for the local market for many years.
“Built in our North America head office facility in Montreal, Canada, Tornatech is also pleased to introduce its new GPx Series line of electric fire pump controllers which are UL listed / FM approved. Equipped with our latest microprocessor technology, each GPx Series controller will be housed in a NEMA 2 enclosure, have a digital annunciator interface to display voltage, amperage, pressure readings and will digitally indicate alarms or event conditions. The GPx Series will also be very compact in size for ease of transport and installation,” commented a spokesman.
Other UL-listed and FM approved products built in Montreal, Canada include the GPG and GPU automatic power transfer switches for the GPx Series and the GPD diesel engine-driven microprocessor fire pump controller. Jockey pump controllers, remote alarm panels and low level and low suction lock-out panels are also available.
