IX International Symposium on Hazard, Prevention and Mitigation of Industrial Explosions

Roots of the Symposium reach far into the past. ISHPMIE was founded in 1996 as a joined meeting of Dust Explosion Colloquia (Baranow 1984, Jadwisin 1986, Szczyrk 1988, Porąbka – Kozubnik 1990, Pułtusk 1993, Shenyang 1994) and Specialists Meeting on Fuel-Air Explosions (Montreal, 1981). The first ISHPMIE was organized in 1996 in Bergen, then it was followed by meetings in Schaumburg (1988), Tsukuba (2000), Bourges (2002), Cracow (2004), Halifax (2006), St. Petersburg (2008), Yokohama (2010). Now the Symposium is coming back to Cracow.
